The All-You-Can-Eat Gardening Workshop – Sat, 9 Apr, 2011 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
With many hit hard by the economic crisis, growing your own food simply makes economic sense. Many gardening books make vegetable gardening look difficult but Cam Mather encourages participants, regardless of their garden size, to just get out there and do it. With basic tips and techniques, Cam provides enough tools to inspire gardeners but doesn’t overwhelm them. Cam also examines the health benefits of the vegetables and fruits discussed along with how to plant them with the greatest likelihood of an abundant harvest. He also provides strategies for harvesting rainwater, watering with drip irrigation, controlling pests organically and dealing with some of our climate challenges.
