Mediterranean Flare with Sandy Pomeroy

Small but Mighty Cooking Class: Toaster Oven Treats
Put your small appliance to work. Chef Wayne Baker will demonstrate how to make quick wholesome meals using the microwave, crock pot, food processor, toaster oven and electric grill. Participants will receive recipes and sample each of the foods demonstrated. This week: Toaster Oven Treats. Use a toaster oven to prepare dishes like meatloaf, pizzas, baked potatoes, hot sandwiches, desserts and muffins.Wayne Baker is a personal chef who specializes in preparing gourmet, quick and healthy meals on a budget.

Rural Routes at Murphy’s Country Produce
On the day of the trip, meet at the Hamilton GO Centre (36 Hunter Street East) at 10 a.m., where we’ll board a chartered HSR bus and head to the farm. The farm visit will offer an opportunity to hear from the farmers, shop at the on-farm market and, in some cases, participate in an activity. Expect to arrive back at the GO Centre by 1:30 p.m.
